Unable to attend Gamescom 2018 and hear the latest news? We’ve got you covered: SOULCALIBUR VI, the legendary weapon-based fighting game, will be returning with a brand new story mode and added features!
In addition to the already-revealed Chronicle of Souls mode, a new story mode called Libra of Soul will enable players to create their very own hero from scratch. An in-depth character customization option will give them access to 16 races – including human, lizard or even living skeleton – as well as different hairstyles, armors, weapons and, of course, fighting styles! Once the fighter is ready, they will be able to roam the world freely and challenge both existing characters and warriors created by the community. The Libra of Soul mode lets players shape their own quest to stop an evil mastermind from gathering Soul Edge shards.
Online play was also unveiled: players will be able to use their custom-created fighters or favorite SOULCALIBUR VI characters to face off against other players from all over the world in both casual or ranked matches.
Finally, as part of the Gamescom announcements, Tira, the Bird of Death, will also make her return to the Stage of History! She will be available as a bonus character for Season Pass owners and as a stand-alone DLC. A former member of the mysterious assassin guild, Bird of Passage, Tira wields her deadly Ring Blade with great expertise. After the dissolution of her organization, she was left alone and now travels across the world, slaughtering those who get in her way to satisfy her ferocious appetite for blood.
