PARK BEYOND: Dev Message

Dear Park Beyond Visioneers,

After several years of development, we released Park Beyond on June 16th: a slightly over-the-top park simulation that featured some pretty unique takes on the genre including a full single player story-driven campaign, nearly unlimited creative possibilities, outlandishly fun rides, and TONS of visitors! And everywhere, we sprinkled a bit of “making the impossible possible.” We wanted to share our exaggerated vision of what amusement parks could look like if tech was just a little bit crazier and gravity a little bit softer.

While creating this game of our dreams, we challenged ourselves to surpass not just the limits of our imagination, we also challenged ourselves technically by shipping simultaneously on console and PC with seamless controller/mouse and keyboard input. We wanted for everyone to be able to play Park Beyond!

We want to thank every player who tried our game; especially the community who gathered to share feedback, ideas and a new point of view about Park Beyond. You helped us spot some of the game’s weaknesses and you were a constant motivation, keeping us striving for more as we worked towards improving the game.

Ever since launch, we released various patches and updates to increase the quality of life, game design balancing, overall content, and features. We understand that some of your experiences with the game at launch wasn’t in line with your expectations, but we are very serious about improving this game for everyone. We’ve worked intensely to add our players' feedback to Park Beyond -- from the subtler tweaks to the more obvious overhauls -- so that both the creativity and the management sides of the game are as fun as they can be for all our players.

Patch 2.0 also introduced the Community Content mode that allowed sharing of prefabs, coasters and entire parks across all platforms and your creativity keeps on amazing us every day!

We’ve also released Beyond eXtreme, our first Theme World, expanding the game’s base content as well as providing new missions and a deep dive into Blaize’s adrenaline filled lifestyle.

Two other Theme World expansions are planned in 2024 as part of our Annual Pass (which is included in the Visioneer and Impossified Editions) and we can’t wait to share more details about them with you all.

And now, we’ve announced something a bit different in the form of the Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget Theme World. We’ve been lucky enough to partner with Academy Award®-winning animation studio Aardman to bring some of the chicken fun into Park Beyond through a special DLC to be made available alongside the release of the movie on Netflix on December 15th.

This Theme World is egg-tastic, but not part of our Annual Pass. This plucky pack is only available as a stand-alone purchase.

This said, we want to thank the community who’ve been supporting us from the start; the folks who trusted our vision of Park Beyond and the promise of creating the outstanding game we all want. We are happy to announce that we’ll be offering the Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget Theme World to everyone who preordered the game for free, whether you got the Standard, Visionneer or Impossified Edition. As long as you pre-ordered Park Beyond you’re eligible for this free DLC pack. Please stay tuned for details.

On top of releasing DLC we will keep on improving the game with both patches and free content, starting with Patch 2.2 that brought a hearty haul of Pirate content to the game! And we’ll have more surprises to announce in the coming months.

Thanks again for your support and please keep on sharing your ideas, suggestions and of course creations in the Community Content mode.
