Park Beyond - Console Patch June 22, 2022

The following patch has been released for Park Beyond on PlayStation 5 and Xbox X|S. Due to the approval process on console, minor patches for Xbox and PlayStation may be delayed when compared to hotfixes or minor patches on Steam.

Major content updates will normally be delivered for all platforms at the same time.

General

  • Fixed several crashes, game freezes and performance issues 

 

Balancing 

  • Tweaked experience rewards for staff members 
  • Fixed visitors rejecting coasters due to high fees 
  • Fix for staff energy balancing, staff needs modifiers which were never loaded and defaulted to zero (caused duties to not affect staff energy) 
  • Mission 1 
    • Exchanged some gameplay conditions so backend structure matches those of other missions 
    • Ignore Ramp module and g-force accidents in Mission 1 
  • Mission 4 
    • Intro shot adjustment 
    • Fixed triggering of transportation ride help screen 
    • Added trigger for terraforming help screen 
    • Scaling up the trigger box for the candy house challenge so players have more freedom to build 
    • Scaling up the trigger box for coffee shop and ride on the lake building challenges 
    • Added English Garden and Pirates bundle to Mission 4 starter pack 
  • Mission 5 
    • Fixed potential issue with path building challenge 
    • Scaled up elevator detection trigger box 
    • Fixed multiple smaller issues in Mission 5 intro/outro 
    • Adjusted start area to allow for more building space 
  • Mission 7 
    • Removed some desert rocks 
    • Scaling up the trigger box for the ramp module challenge detection in MIS 07 
  • Mission 8 
    • Spawns reminder every time new construction dust appears 
    • Fixed floating foliage 
    • Exploration Park 
    • Fixed roller coaster in third area that does not have support 
    • Added trees to surrounding landscape 
  • Sandbox Maps 
    • SB Version of Mission 4, 5, 7, 8: removed Boardroom and Airship 
    • SBMIS7: removed unwanted harsh transition where Hemlock's park is on the Mission-version 

 

Camera

  • Fixed first person camera height while visitors are sitting on benches 

 

Coaster Editor

  • Made ride simulation and collisions more deterministic 
  • Coaster module removal now also removes terrain 
  • Testing menu is now expanded without putting the focus on it when an accident happens 
  • Fixed ride nodes being visible while outside the ride editor and in the ride camera 
  • Fixed the node adjustment widget (arrows displayed while rotating tracks) appearing over the wrong node in some cases. 
  • Fixed the infinite rolling when a track snaps to another one 
  • Fixed an issue where deleting your preview track while it's snapped to a node causes you to get stuck in the snapping mode blocking you from adjusting any nodes among other things 
  • Fixed the cancel adjustment action (e.g start moving/rotating/rolling a module and RMB while holding LMB) to properly restore the initial state 
  • Fixed an issue with the last track mesh usually being scaled down by a lot 
  • Changed ride track placement to not be blocked by any scenery objects (previously it was only foliage and biome meshes but modular scenery and scenery objects are now included) 
  • Ride testing tooltip fix 

 

Paths & Placement

  • Improved initial object orientation to be dependent on camera position 
  • Flat Rides terrain removal is now reversible on deletion/removal 
  • Further improvements to auto paths on Shops – added an angle limit on rotation 
  • Shortened the minimum path distance of shops 
  • Fixed an issue with the placement grid being visible/invisible when it shouldn't 
  • Fixing a bug where the Text on opening checklist Buttons remains on the screen after scrolling 
  • Fixing square plane appearing under placement preview 
  • Fixed missing snapping for relocated/copied sceneries (benches, trash cans) 
  • Box selection now required the center point of scenery objects to be inside the box (less likely to accidently select big biome scenery objects) 
  • Improved bounding for land extension borders on coaster stations and circular Flat Rides 

 

Color Customisation

  • UI showing outdated customization groups, pre-placed MRs not customizable (potentially also fixing loaded ones from save game), customization using current material instead of base material (should fix issues when selected/highlighted) 
  • Added color customization to animatronics 
  • Fixed color customization not working on several scenery objects 

 

Modular Structures

  • Significant snapping improvements on Modular Structure placement 
  • Grid snapping is now automatically activated when placing a modular structure and fixed rotation snapping when free placement is allowed 
  • Vertical grid is now also automatically activated when adding modular structures to a group 
  • Adjusted the width exponents of the construction grid lines
  • Modular structures now only snap to structures of the currently edited group 

 

Grouping and Prefabs

  • Renamed course prefabs 
  • Fixed the Stairway of Seven and the High Tide with various problems like offset looking tracks and aggressive colors 
  • Selected groups are now restored when pressing the restore previous selection button
  • Updated prefabs for Luxury Toilet prefabs 
  • Adjustment for the direction arrow of modular ride prefabs 

 

Undo/Redo

  • Fixed several issues with wrong undo/redo behaviour 
  • Fixed issues with ride connections breaking on undo/redo 
  • Changed maximum number of undo elements to max 30 
  • Voxel modifications now also have the same maximum number of undo steps 

 

UI

  • Added an in-game notification on first game start about ESRB ratings for the Zombeyond DLC 
  • Sandbox Goals now use new reward popups 
  • Sandbox Goals: replaced mission accomplished popup with custom pop up that does not refer to Team Goals 
  • Tooltip for events button in notification pop up 
  • Added wagons to train on arrival areas 
  • Added missing faces to entertainers 
  • Polished impossification mode HUD further 
  • Added correct tooltip for Ticket cost display 
  • Moving Color Customization Popup to the right so sight on objects being color customized is not blocked (especially on gamepad) 

 

Visuals

  • Improved lip sync animations for English 
  • Added better default color to paramedic bag 
  • Updated paramedic cap to not clip with agent hair 
  • Adjusted agent boarding on Clockwork Carousel 
  • Fixed emissive color customization for Yeti Impossified Flat Ride eyes 
  • Reduced water normal and reflections in distance 
  • Improved English Garden assets (vertex normal and texture adjustments) 

 

Help Center

  • Updated help screen images and videos 
  • Re-sorted help screens so they are in a more logical order when read from top to bottom 

 

Audio

  • Reworked Slingshot sounds 
  • Fixed: flatride music distance cull no longer triggers if the player is currently inside the ride camera of the ride (music previously cut off in first person camera for Slingshot Impossified and Space Launch Impossified 2) 
  • Adding Tesla coil VFX, ring of fire VFX, Toilet & trash VFX, tweaks on janitor cleantrash VFX. 
  • Fixed aggressive audio on Tagada Impossified ride 
  • Fixed slider step audio event being spammed if slider was held 
  • Audio event for park level increase 
  • Fixing events not loading 
  • Adding missing UI events 
  • Animations events for Slingshot impossified 
  • Setting up Coaster tunnel reverb 
  • Coaster volumes adjustments 
  • Adding VFX for trashfire 
  • Adding mechanic assigned event 
  • Implemented start/stop events for audio loop on staff agent impossification 
  • Added events for entertainer impossification 
  • Fixing Coaster events & curves. Adding Park level UI Event 
  • Overall Volumes - Coaster tweaks.

Performance

  • Improved CPU bounds 
  • Improved performance of micro foliage and areas outside of the playable area of maps 
  • Improved performance on paths and path placement 
  • Optimized some scenery objects 

 

Controller

  • Adjusted alignment for Bindings in Gamepad Controls Popup 
  • Fixed Focus loss when renaming with gamepad 
  • Fixed focus loss when picking color with gamepad 
  • Fixed color picker preview with gamepad 

 

Analytics

  • Fixed staffHired and staffFired events 
  • Shortened land extension parameter string by omitting fragment actor name
