Set for release on January 13th of 2023, ONE PIECE ODYSSEY will offer fans a brand new and unique experience in the ONE PIECE world.
The development of ONE PIECE ODYSSEY started 5 years ago, before the release of ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER . At the center of its development there was the idea of creating a new epic adventure with Luffy and his crew mates.
This adventure takes place on the mysterious and legendary island of Waford, after the Straw Hats are swallowed by a huge storm at sea. The members end up separated from each other, while the with the Thousand Sunny suffers enough damage during the shipwrecking to be completely unusable.
Shortly after, the Straw Hat Crew makes the acquaintance of Lim and Adio, two people living on the island. They will be what sets in motion the main adventure of the group…

Immerse yourself in a rich ONE PIECE world!
One Piece Odyssey is a JRPG in which you will be able to touch the ONE PIECE world in a level of detail like never before.
Fans will dive into the immersive scenes of the game thanks to the amazing work on the environment and its details, the music, and especially how the spirit of the original One Piece work has been represented in the game: the characters’ outfits and the typically overly dramatic facial expressions that are known to be trademark of One Piece are just two examples of how the game remains loyal to the original work.
To increase this immersion, Eiichiro Oda (the very creator of ONE PIECE) contributed to the creation of the game, and started working on the character designs 3 years ago. He also created two new characters that are exclusive to the game: Lim and Adio.
He also designed new animals and creatures, such as the Leviathan and the Dry Penguin that inhabit the island where the adventure takes place.
Exploring the Island
Exploring the island will require to overcome several obstacles. Luckily, Luffy and the Straw Hats have unique abilities and powers that will be useful even outside of battles:, make sure to switch characters when needed!.
For instance, Luffy can perform actions with his stretchy arms, Zoro can force his way through obstacles with his swords, and Chopper can use his miniature body to get through narrow passages. Each member has their own strengths, but also their own weaknesses that you will have to kep in mind during your journey.
The battle system is based on a classic turn-based command battle. In One Piece Odyssey, the battle takes place on a battlefield divided into areas, among which players can reposition and need to consider the best move to make.
Based on how the battlefield is set at the start of it, players can be rewarded for strategizing throughout the battle, and also for using the uniqueness of the Crew and their special attacks to their advantage. The turn-based aspect of the fight allows players to go through the battle at their own pace to defeat the enemies and ponder the best move.
Unexpected challenges are also available: unpredictable situations can randomly occur during battles in the form of sub-objectives to achieve in battle, for example defeating a specific enemy first or protecting a team member. If players clear these random sub-quests they will receive more experience and loot as a reward.

After arriving on the mysterious island of Waford, the Straw Hat Crew members are mistakenly deprived of their powers. To recover them they will rely on the help of Lim, who has the power to unlock the access to Memoria, a world built from the crew’s memories.
Here, The Crew will encounter familiar faces of their past and visit once more the places they treasure in their own memories in an epic journey to recover their powers.
Alabasta
The Alabasta Kingdom battle marks the fight of the Straw Hat Pirates against Baroque Works and its leader, Crocodile.
They find new allies, and build a worldwide reputation after their stand in this civil war.
Water Seven
The crew has to face many challenges, being involved in a world conspiracy while experiencing the first real tensions between their members.
Marineford
The Summit War is one of the biggest battles in One Piece history, occurring in the Marine Headquarters.
Luffy and the Emperor Whitebeard join their forces to rescue Ace from a public execution.
Dressrosa
In the New World, the Straw Hat Pirates have challenged one of the Warlords of the Sea, Donquixote Doflamingo.
They go after him in his own territory, the colourful and darksided island of Dressrosa.
