The Tokyo Game Show will begin the next week in Japan, and we are planning to announce our worldwide release date there, so stay tuned!
However, there are a few more things I would like to share with you in the meantime.
Let’s start today’s blog by introducing more characters!
Ochaco Uraraka
Ochaco Uraraka can use zero gravity to lift herself, her allies, and her enemies off the ground at will, as she waits for an opening to unleash a super move!
Her role has been readjusted since the Open Beta Test, changing her role from “Technical” to “Rapid”. Her moves are now faster, allowing her to maneuver faster in combat.
This mobility is specially useful for her Quirk Skill α, “Zodiac Wire”. Besides allowing her to attack her opponents from a far distance, this Quirk skill can be used to cling to big rocks or walls to move around while jumping.
Her Quirk Skill α can also be used in combination with her special action “Zero Gravity” lift herself up and allow her to reach opponents from a longer distance or to climb to higher places. Once you get used to move around using her Quirk Skill α, you will able to move quickly in each direction, so you can use this advantage to dominate your opponents!
This allows Ochaco to stay away from the opponent’s view and wait for an opening to unleash her attacks.
Her Quirk Skill β, “Home Run Comet”, allows her to deal heavy damage to any nearby opponents, while her Quirk Skill γ, “Nebulous Space” can be used to attack opponents from a mid-long distance. You can use these advantages to create several different strategies!
Once you get used to her mobility, you can use Ochaco to get ahead and deal heavy damage to your opponents when they least expect it!
Himiko Toga
When Himiko Toga is at a low level, her projectile attacks will have a short range. However, another of her unique skills, “Transform” can be used to really make Toga shine and allow you to make the most out of her “Technical” role!
Unlike many of the other character’s projectile attacks, her Quirk Skill α ”Jagged Throwing Knife” can be used to press and hold the button to unleash a continuous attack.
Its strength relies in the fact that it can be used to control the opponent’s movement throwing the knives 1 by 1, or to restrict their movements altogether thanks to the effect of its successive attack!
Her knives will become larger as you level up, allowing you to hit your targets more easily. Beginners can use her Quirk Skill α to begin and become gradually stronger as they level up.
If you get bored of using Quirk Skill α and decide to create some distance from your opponents, you can shoot using Quirk Skill γ, “Blood Sucker” instead to search unsuspecting opponents and hit them from a distance!
You can collect blood by hitting your opponents with this technique, and if you keep using it multiple times, you will be able to transform into your opponent temporarily.
When you transform into your opponents, you will retain their current Quirk Skill levels. So, transforming into an opponent with a levelled-up skill might help you turn around the tables when necessary! Using Quirk Skill γ proactively on the right opponents during battle can be a powerful tactic!
If the opponents get too close, you can use her Quirk Skill β, “Slasher Killer Knife” to move away from the action and try to transform again to gain an edge in battle!
Feel free to try out Toga’s different knife and transformation skills to unleash chaos on the battlefield!
