MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE – Developer’s Blog VOL. 11

Hello, My Hero Ultra Rumble players!

Regarding the unintended behaviors in the game that we are currently able to detect, although it is impossible to handle all of them in this update, we have first fixed the ones we could identify the causes and solutions.

We are continuing to make improvements to the other problems that many players have reported to us, so we appreciate for your patience. The following is a list of changes made in Ver. 1.1.0 of Season 2 and planned changes for the future.

Character Screen

For characters that are not yet obtained, a “Unlock” button is now displayed on the “Menu” pop-up of the character selection screen, and pressing the button takes users to the unlock steps.

Before this update, there was no way to check how to unlock a character you wanted to use, making it difficult to understand how it works.

The addition of the "Unlock" button to the character select screen makes it more convenient and intuitive to move from objectives such as "I want to use this character! to "Unlock with Special License.”.

Hero Crystal

A button has been added to the Premium Shop to go to the Hero Crystal purchase screen if there are not enough Hero Crystals when purchasing items or pulling rolls.

Until now, when a user tried to purchase Hero Crystals due to a shortage of Hero Crystals, the transition to the Hero Crystal purchase screen in the Premium Shop was complicated. However, this update made it more conveniently at the touch of a button.

Main Menu Screen

The “Change Character” button is now always visible while in the main menu.

Among many people who have played the game, some of them liked “My Hero Academia” so much that they played this title as their first consumer game.

We received the comments saying that they did not know how to change the character, we made a modification.

Currently in the main menu, we are developing a plan not to display too many buttons to avoid first impressions of “too many buttons to know what to do.”

However, the buttons are located at the back of the screen, making it difficult to know where to access for the desired operation.

For this matter, we would like to ask your opinions on how far we should go in displaying the buttons to make them easier to understand and use and will proceed with the modification.

Future Modifications

We are currently receiving a lot of feedback from the players regarding the “Ranked Match,” especially regarding the rank rating system.

Until now, we have aimed to create a system that allows players to evaluate their activities more equally because it may seem unreasonable for their ranks to be lowered due to the influence of their allies.

However, the system is such that rank points do not increase even if the team plays well, and points do not increase even if the team wins the championship, and we believe that there is a discrepancy between the sense of playing well and the evaluation of the points earned.

On the development side, we have begun to improve the evaluation system in the "Ranked Match" so that more appropriate evaluation can be made, and we are considering the possibility of using a principle that emphasizes team success.

We will continue to make improvements so that more players can enjoy the game, and we hope you will continue to enjoy MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE.

Let’s meet again in-game and in the next update!
