SWORD ART ONLINE: Alicization Lycoris – Story & Game Trailer
Today, we’re launching a new trailer for the upcoming JRPG game SWORD ART ONLINE: ALICIZATION LYCORIS, coming to PS4, XBOX ONE and PC on 22 May 2020!
Following the storyline from the anime, SWORD ART ONLINE: ALICIZATION LYCORIS puts you right inside the “Alicization” arc. Upon reaching the end of the “Battle of Central Cathedral,” you’ll discover a brand-new storyline, “Alicization Lycoris,” which was created exclusively for the game.
This new storyline will allow you to visit unexplored parts of the Human Empire such as Treitis Pass, Minelda Rocks and Deusoldort Desert!
Following the storyline from the anime, will make the player experience the “Alicization” arc through the eyes of Kirito. Upon the end of the Battle of Central Cathedral, fans will be able to go through a brand-new storyline, “Alicization Lycoris”, created exclusively for the game.
The battle system mixes skills and Sacred Arts; linking them with your team can trigger chained attacks. With the new Tactic Emulating AI System feature, you will be able to create new synergies with your team members. Your partners will memorize specific commands and autonomously use them depending on the situation.
We’ve also introduced multiplayer mode in which up to 4 players can fight altogether. Each player also brings along a partner for a total of 8 characters in the party! In this mode, you can create and customize your own avatar to show off your creativity.
Three more Integrity Knights have been unveiled, along with 2 weapons types:
- Bercouli: One of the founders of the Rulid Village and fierce swordsman, his “Time Piercing Sword” grants him the ability to slash through time. He can trade his sword for a claymore, dealing massive damage while also taking some damage, making it a powerful but risky weapon.
- Linel and Fizel: The deadly duo perfected their assassination skills when undergoing the Administrator’s experiments. They both fight using a dagger, benefiting from its high mobility to destabilize their opponents and seize the advantage in aerial combats.
Finally, ReoNa will sing the Opening Theme of the game called “Scar/let”!
