NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS features the biggest roster of playable characters in the series' history. With over 130 characters to choose from, you can create your own dream team and battle it out against your friend.

2. Unique Story Modes
History Mode
The game includes a History Mode where you can experience the story of NARUTO and NARUTO SHIPPUDEN all in one game. This means that you can relive the epic battles and emotional moments from the Chunin Exams to the Fourth Great Ninja War.
In this story mode, iconic battles are picked up from the past series and connecting the storytelling with anime cut scenes and cinematic graphics.
Special Story Mode
NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS also comes with an original story designed exclusively for the game, centering on Boruto along with two new original characters.
The plot takes place during the events of BORUTO, when the Ninja World is at peace again with Naruto as Hokage. Boruto discovers a popular online game, “Ninja Heroes,” and meets Nanashi, a navigator from the game.
Although their relationship was that of player and navigator, they gradually develop a special bond. Meanwhile, something unusual in the real world causes the threat of the Fifth Great Ninja War. While the ninja world is was plunged into chaos, Boruto realizes a mysterious man, Merz, may be behind it all.
Look forward to discovering what key role Nanashi and Merz play in this journey, and how Boruto will solve the mystery that threatens the Ninja World again in this trailer.
3. Battle Mode
Free Battle
The game will come along with an offline battle mode, “Free Battle,” where you can experience various battle plays!
- VS Battle: Play offline 1P vs 2P battle.
- Survival: Play offline against a slew of NPC characters.
- Tournament: Play an offline tournament match with up to 8 players or against CPU characters.
- League: Play an offline league match with up to 4 players or against CPU characters.
- Practice: Available to practice Secret Techniques and other ninjas moves.
Network Battle
In Online Battle Mode you can go against players from all around the world!
- Casual Match: You can play with randomly selected opponent online.
- Rank Match: You can play with more advanced and competitive players online according to your rank.
Plus, preset messages and stamps add more ways to communicate with fellow players.
Online Custom Matchmaking will be implemented post-launch.
4. Simple Control Mode
The new Simple Control Mode simplifies controls and automatically performs various combos! A series of actions can be performed with a single button, from approaching a distant opponent with a Chakra Dash to performing a combo!
This mode is recommended not only for beginners, but also for advanced players who want to concentrate on the battle to read the next move of the opponent.
Of course, there is also the Normal Control Mode where players can still enjoy the controls from the previous series!
5. Customization
Another aspect of the game that Naruto’s fans can appreciate is customization!
