First year teacher Satoru Gojo is here to share his knowledge on JUJUTSU KAISEN Cursed Clash! , the 2v2 action brawler based of the popular series JUJUTSU KAISEN, coming on February 2, 2024.
The game’s battle system takes advantage of the unique cursed techniques each character has to offer. Fighting in 2v2, players will have to choose their tag team characters by taking into account their synergies and complementary abilities to gain an edge in combat.
When charging up their cursed energy while fighting, players will be able to unleash great powers, with each character having their own ultimate and awakened moves.
They can also combine forces with their teammate for a devastating joint attack.
JUJUTSU KAISEN Cursed Clash! offers two game modes to play:
- The story mode that will retell the tale from the anime and adds never seen original stories
- The Online mode that will offer:
- Online versus, where players are matched in 2v2 battles with other players from around the world.
- Online co-op mode with a partner to take on CPU opponents with increasing difficulty.
- Online lobby creating a private lobby where players can challenge their friends.

So what's "JUJUTSU KAISEN Cursed Clash!," you ask? Well, to put it simply: we're talking tag-team battles!
Pretty cool, huh? I bet you're getting excited now. Now then! Time to start our special lecture on JUJUTSU KAISEN Cursed Clash.
First, let's take a look at the battle system.
BATTLE
Cursed Technique Battle means fighting with the unique Cursed Technique your characters have to offer...Form a tag team with characters whose abilities complement each other to gain a strategic edge in combat. Better to join the fray with a pal than to go it alone, wouldn't you say?
Cursed Energy Is the Key to Battle: Cursed Energy is a key factor in any brawl.
Cursed Energy Gauge: Cursed Energy is a key factor in any brawl.
Raise your Cursed Energy Level and you'll be able to use powerful techniques and unique capabilities! This is sure to give you the leg up you need.
Once it reaches the late stages, you'll see clashes between ultimate moves chock-full of Cursed Energy...
Joint Attack: You can also unleash Joint Attacks in step with your partner, Awakened Move and ultra-powerful awakened moves that can turn things around at the 11th hour! Battle/Co-op with players from around the world! Oh yeah, you can play online, too!
ONLINE
Online Competition
There's Online Versus mode, where you fight in ranked 2-on-2 matches against players around the world.
Online Co-Op
And Online Co-op mode, where you and a partner take on CPU opponents in a series of battles.
Online Co-op mode has its own character upgrade features, and depending on how much progress you make, the difficulty can vary. That means the fun keeps on ramping up.
Oh yeah, and if you're the type who doesn't like playing with strangers online, never you fear!
There are Online Lobbies where you can play with just your friends. Show Off Your Style With Customization!
CUSTOMIZATION
From character costumes to player cards! You also have plenty of different options for sending messages.

Lately, I've been forced to realize how weak and useless I am.

Outside of battle, you can recap the anime's tale of Curses and Sorcerers in Story Mode, as well as check out never-before-seen original stories.
Plus, there's a Relationship Chart which opens up as you progress and offers rewards. Ah, time's up? There's so much more I want to say, but oh well...In that case, one last pearl of wisdom!
