Leading video game developer Bandai Namco Online Inc. and publisher Bandai Namco Europe today announced GUNDAM EVOLUTION, the franchise’s first-ever free-to-play shooter, is celebrating its six-month anniversary with the launch of all-new Season 4 content.
Titled Ballista, the new season will deliver a wide variety of new content and gameplay updates. GUNDAM EVOLUTION is available to play free now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via STEAM.
Also announced today, GUNDAM EVOLUTION continues to expand to new regions and is now playable on PC and consoles in Brazil, Chile, and Argentina, and on PC only in Australia and New Zealand. Players in these regions will be able to play the latest content introduced in today’s Season 4 launch.
Ballista introduces the Gundam Dynames mobile suit, an agile sniper unit equipped with various short and long-range attack options that are highly adaptable in the heat of combat. The update also adds Headquarters Mode, where teams of players fight to occupy or protect zones housing a powerful core that can be destroyed. Teams earn points by defending or attacking the core, with the first team who earns five points winning the match.
Additional updates coming in Season 4 of GUNDAM EVOLUTION include:
- Half-Anniversary Events, including a Login Bonus, a New Player Campaign, and a Returning Player Campaign – all of which run from April 12 – May 17
- Two new unit skins (Prototype Gundam, Zaku II S [Recon]) with exclusive sound effects, and the new “Buried City” map
- Implementation of Achievement Challenges
- Adjustment of matchmaking, skill ratings, and in-game store UI,
- Addition of minor items related to MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM: THE WITCH FROM MERCURY
GUNDAM EVOLUTION is a free-to-play team-based first-person shooter featuring 6v6 PvP combat with playable mobile suits from across the Gundam universe.
As the franchise’s first-ever free-to-play hero shooter, GUNDAM EVOLUTION features an ever-expanding roster of 21 playable mobile suits and will pit players against each other across four objective-based game modes: Point Capture, Domination, Destruction, and Headquarters.
Each mode presents a unique set of challenges that will require teams to craft and execute formidable offensive and defensive strategies to emerge victorious.
GUNDAM EVOLUTION is now available in Europe, North America, Japan and other parts of Asia on PC.
