TOWA AND THE GUARDIANS OF THE SACRED TREE, the upcoming roguelite game developed by Brownies inc, just revealed its Features Trailer at Future Games Show. Players will embark on a journey through distant lands, each time pairing two guardians against evil Magatsu to save the future of Shinju Village.
Rekka, Shigin, Origami, Nishiki, Bampuku, Mutsumi, Akazu and Koro are the eight brave guardians gathered to protect their village, each with their own personality and skills. At the end of each journey, a powerful creature sent by the evil Magatsu awaits the guardians, and on the road there, they will encounter terrible Magaoris to slay. To get stronger, the guardians will receive different types of graces at the end of each area, granting them power ups and special abilities they can stack to help them during battles.
After each run, players will be able to explore the serene Shinju village, upgrading their weapons and graces, but also discovering more about the villagers.
A free demo is also available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch, allowing players to take Rekka, Shigin, Origami and Nishiki on journeys, and letting them take their first steps in Shinju Village.
TOWA AND THE GUARDIANS OF THE SACRED TREE is a 2D isometric roguelite with fast-paced action, gorgeous hand-drawn style characters, stunning painterly scenery, and a unique soundtrack. The title features a colorful world where visually peaceful splendor belies a lurking threat, and where courage is the only way forward. Set in distant lands, the tranquil Shinju village is threatened by the evil Magatsu’s quest for domination. Towa, the priestess of Shinju Village, stands united with eight unique, trustworthy companions to defeat Magatsu and his evil minions.
TOWA AND THE GUARDIANS OF THE SACRED TREE is coming on 19 September 2025 to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch.
