Little Nightmares II - A Letter From the Production Team
As you may have heard by now, the release date for Little Nightmares II is moving to February 11, 2021. Yes, it’s not the 2020 release date we promised, and for that, we do apologize.
Our desire is to create another suspenseful adventure in the charmingly horrific world of Little Nightmares for you. Unfortunately, the situation this year has required us to extend that process, both to respect the health and safety of everyone working on Little Nightmares and to prepare the game for the leap to the next generation of consoles.
Now don’t fret, children. Little Nightmares II will release on the current generation of consoles (and on PC Digital), as promised. And although these versions will be playable on the next generation of consoles right away thanks to backwards compatibility, we are pleased to announce that later in 2021, we will also be releasing a version of the game that is playable natively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
We promise that this next-gen version will be even more breathtakingly terrifying than the visual feast awaiting you on your current console.
What’s more, there will be a free next-gen upgrade for PlayStation 4 version owners and Little Nightmares II for Xbox leverages Smart Delivery, allowing access to both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X title when it becomes available.
And we wouldn’t forget about our PC players, who will be able to enjoy a gorgeous experience crafted to make the most out of their rig’s performance capacity.
We know you’ve been anxiously waiting to befriend Six, travel to the Pale City, and discover the source of the Transmission. Tormenting children may be what Little Nightmares does best, but we do apologize for making you delay your trip.
Thank you for your continued support and your tireless curiosity about the world of Little Nightmares. We can’t wait to share more details with you, so please keep a lookout for our updates here and on social media.
We’ll see you soon…
