After fourteen years since their last game, The King of All Cosmos and The Prince are back in the latest entry in the KATAMARI DAMACY series with Once Upon A KATAMARI, available today on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam®, and Nintendo Switch™.
Developed by RENGAME and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, it will be up to players once more to help The Prince restore the stars to the heavens after the mighty King of All Cosmos accidentally destroyed the Earth. This time, players will roll their Katamari, a ball that collects everything it touches, across time itself, gathering objects through history to replace the starry sky.
Once Upon A KATAMARI, players will experience the series like never before, on a journey across time through the Jurassic Period, the Ice Age, historic Japan and more, with a new competitive multiplayer mode. The game’s memorable music returns with a new soundtrack, new customisation options, and fun power-ups such as the magnet to pull in nearby items.
Players can choose to play as The Prince or any of the 68 cousins, all of whom can be customised with different colours and facial features.
The customised characters will stand out in KatamariBall, a new four-player competitive mode where players attempt to roll the largest Katamari and convert it into points within a limited time.
KatamariBall will support both online multiplayer and offline play against CPU opponents.
