Broken Promises follows a neglected girl, locked in an attic, who escapes into a dollhouse world full of promises. As she ventures deeper, she begins to uncover the sinister truth lurking beneath its charming facade, a world where every shadow may hide a monster. 

The short film is directed by Sofía Carillo and Juan Medina. 

Created in collaboration with the International Animation Center Taller del Chucho at the University of Guadalajara – a renowned Mexican stop‑motion studio founded by Guillermo del Toro – the short film reconnects with the original inspirations behind the award-winning Little Nightmares franchise.
