Season 9 of DRAGON BALL THE BREAKERS starts today with new content including a new raider, Broly (Z), the upgrade of two already existing raiders (Cell and Majin Buu), and the implementation of a system to operate ranked matches and events on a monthly basis.
A new raider enters the scene: Broly (Z). He starts as Paragus accompanied by Broly who can also attack through player control. From here, the player can choose whether to evolve to LV2 or wait for the automatic evolution to LV3. If the player decides to transform into Broly (Super Saiyan) at level 2, they will have to fight in this form until the evolution gauge is full enough to reach LV4.
Otherwise, the player can wait until the gauge reaches 200% to make Paragus automatically evolve from LV1 to LV3 Broly (Restrained) which makes it faster to evolve to LV4 and let Broly use his full destructive power upon survivors.
Aside from a new raider, Cell gets an update and gains access to a new active skill at LV4 “Make Them Suffer, Cell Juniors!” that summons up to 7 autonomous Cell Jrs (up to 3 can be active at the same time) that automatically attack enemies. Cell becomes even more dominant with this added skill, making perfect victories much more achievable.
Last but not least, Majin Buu gets an expansion as well. At LV4, a new form is available: Majin Buu (Gohan Absorbed).
Now, survivors have to fight with Buu over the powerful Super Transpheres as Buu needs to absorb them to evolve into Majin Buu (Gohan Absorbed) at LV4. This new form keeps Buu’s “high-risk, high-reward” style but adds more stability in late-game battles.
DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS is available on PS4, PC, Switch and Xbox One
