Current Bug with "Dragon Ball Z KAKAROT" for Xbox

Thank you very much for your continued support of Bandai Namco Entertainment products. 


On January 13, 2023 we announced that the Xbox Series X|S version of "DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT " and the Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S versions of " -BARDOCK- Alone against Fate" and "Season Pass 2" were postponed. 


We would like to inform you of the measures we are currently planning to take to ensure that the game can be played normally. Below are instructions on a solution that will be available to all affected players. We will provide an update about when these changes are implemented as soon as possible.  



Planned Updates on the Issue 


For those users who have been experiencing issues with the game becoming inoperable due to technical problems when upgrading from Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S, we will offer a separate download of the Xbox One version of DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT  game data* from the store


Once the separate download is available, users who originally had saved data from the Xbox One version will be able to upgrade their saved data by launching the newly downloaded Xbox One version of "DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT  ". 


After the save data upgrade, users will be able to play the game using their original save data on the Xbox Series X|S version of "DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT ". 


Once users go through the above process, the Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S version of the DLC "-BARDOCK- Alone against fate" and "Season Pass 2" will be available for purchase. 


*Game data refers to the application data of the main game and is different from game save data. 





Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused to customers who have been looking forward to the release of this title and to those who have been playing this title on the Xbox.

Due to technical difficulties, customers who have the Xbox One version of "DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT " on their Xbox Series X|S consoles are experiencing an issue where the Xbox Series X|S version of "DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT " is automatically downloaded and the game cannot progress.  


Due to this reason, we have also decided to postpone the release of the Xbox One version of the new DLC "-BARDOCK- Alone Against Fate" and "Season Pass 2", which were scheduled to be released at the same time today. 


This issue only occurs for customers who are playing the Xbox One version of "DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT " on an Xbox Series X|S console and does not occur for those who are playing the game using an Xbox One console. 


We have also confirmed that the Saved data made on the Xbox One Version of KAKAROT will not be affected or deleted. 


We are currently investigating the detailed cause of the issue and possible countermeasures, but until we make further confirmation on this matter, we ask our customers to refrain from playing the game until the problem is resolved. 


We will make an announcement as soon as the situation is confirmed. 


We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to customers playing "DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT " on Xbox.
