Along with the DLC, the game will also get Free Update Version 2.0 for all players.

The Mask of Idris expansion features exploration set in the Forsaken World, a setting forged from the converged passions of worlds that vanished due to historical alterations.

The Mask of Idris expansion is available to players who have viewed the “Luna Fraterna” ending and progressed the “Request from a Friend: Valentin” storyline through the quest “Discuss with Valentin: MagMell Island's Book”.

Players are encouraged to experience the relevant portions of the main game before playing this DLC.

In addition to Mask of Idris DLC, Bandai Namco released the Free Update Version 2.0 which includes "The Age of Harmony”, expanding the post-clear world with new episodes for each partner.

Players can also take on “Trials of Remembrance,” a series of consecutive boss battles that reward items exchangeable for more than 90 new character customisation parts.

Jadwiga, previously selectable only in a possessed state, can also now be summoned as a new partner, wielding a two-handed sword in one hand while using Formae to deliver a fast-paced fighting style.

Also included in the free update is a new story-focused mode that boosts player stats to ease progression through exploration and boss encounters, as well as a Legacy character shader that gives characters an anime-like appearance reminiscent of the original CODE VEIN.

Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, CODE VEIN II is a time-spanning action RPG in which players journey between a ruined future and a changing past, forging powerful bonds, battling monstrous foes, and shaping history itself in a desperate fight for humanity's survival.

Mask of Idris is included in the Deluxe Edition or the Ultimate Edition of the game.

Players who purchased the Standard Edition will need to buy the Deluxe Upgrade Pack to access the DLC.
