CODE VEIN II - Weapons Types

Weapons are the fundamental tools of a Revenant Hunter’s trade.

They’re a conduit for powerful formae abilities and their movesets allow you to adapt your attacks to different types of enemies with ease.

No matter what your build, you’ll find a weapon that can support you in the past or the present!

Let’s go over the new and returning types of weapons that you’ll find in Code Vein 2.

Twin Blades

Leverage high mobility to slip into the enemy’s guard, then slice them apart with swift dual-blade combos

Easily inflicts wounds on enemies, and synergizes powerfully with drain attacks.

Rune Blade

This weapon type allows you to unleash acrobatic techniques synchronized with martial arts movements

It synergizes well with long-range attacks and ability-enhancing incantations, revealing its true potential when combined.

One-handed Sword

A weapon type with many attacks that are easy to handle, making it suitable for beginners.

It features swift combo attacks alongside long-reaching thrusts and spinning slashes.

It also offers a wide range of available formaes, allowing you to adapt to any situation depending on how you combine them.

Two-handed Sword

A heavy weapon that attacks with a long blade.

Its defining features are its extended reach and the immense power of a single strike.

It delivers devastating blows using slashing formae like the downward strike, which increases in power and reach with a charge input or the upward strike following a charge.

Bayonet

Switch between close-range attacks using the blade attached to the barrel and long-range attacks using gunfire

In addition to specialized formae that deal massive damage from a distance, you can also use formae for close-range weapons

Fight by switching between the two modes as the situation demands.

Halberd

A heavy weapon that attacks with a blade attached to a long shaft.

It excels at mid-range combat utilizing its long reach, enabling flexible tactics like simultaneous attacks on multiple foes with wide-area slashes or individual strikes with thrusts.

It pushes enemies back using specialized techniques that maximize its reach, such as sweeping the weapon in a wide arc overhead or executing high-speed lunging thrusts.

Hammer

A heavy weapon whose appeal lies in its devastating single-hit power and ability to easily disrupt enemy stances.

It possesses specialized techniques for slamming down from mid-air or generating shockwaves around the wielder, allowing it to turn the tide even when surrounded by enemies.

There are multiple versions of each type of weapon that can be upgraded and customized for synergy with your Blood Code

This system means you have a massive amount of flexibility to personalize and perfect the ideal build for your character.
