Controls

Now, let’s dive into the battle…
Rule 1: Cut down your opponent's Reishi
Use each character's distinct Zan Ken So Ki moves to damage your adversaries' Reishi.
Decreasing one Reishi gauge will lower your opponent's Konpaku.

You can deplete 1 unit of the Reishi Gauge to execute a Soul Break, and trigger a Kikon Move that can destroy several Konpaku at once!

Rule 2: Shatter the adversary's Konpaku
Once you've inflicted harm on your adversary, unleash your Kikon Move and destroy your adversary's Konpaku!
To stand a chance of winning the fight, you must destroy all Konpaku belonging to your adversaries.
Even before entering Soul Break, you can still use a Kikon Move by reducing your opponent’s Reishi to below 30%, and putting them in a state of Reishi depletion!
Use Quick Attack and Flash Attack combos, or knock your enemy back using an R2 follow-up attack, then hold down R2 when ”NOW OR NEVER” is displayed to execute a Kikon Move!
This destroys one fewer Konpaku than Soul Break, though, so think carefully!

Rule 3: Awaken
When the Fighting Spirit Gauge is filled you can reach an Awakened state.
This heightened state of being allows you to tap into your true power, unleashing a force that is sure to overwhelm your opponent.
Your moves will change, as will the status of each skill, which increases the number of Konpaku which will be destroyed when your attacks land.
“EVOLUTION” is the sign to use Awakening!
Fighting Spirit builds up by inflicting or taking damage! When EVOLUTION is displayed, press R3 and L3 to enter the Awakened state and power up significantly!

You can also activate a Reverse Action while attacking and defending!
Shift the momentum of the fight with perfectly timed combination attacks!
There are three Reverse Actions and the effects will be different depending on when you activate them.
- Soul Reverse (White): Increase Spiritual Power and recover Reishi.
- Chain Reverse (Yellow): Continue combos and increase Spiritual Power
- Burst Reverse (Blue): Cancel opponent’s combos and recover Guard Gauge.
By using this technique at the right moment, you can completely change the course of the battle and potentially secure victory.
Mastering the Reverse Action is crucial in becoming a skilled and strategic fighter.

A range of abilities are strengthened during Awakening, and Kikon Move power also increases!
Build up Fighting Spirit during Awakening to enter a Kikon Channel state! “SUBLIMATION” will be displayed on screen!
